As you create your Autumn Leaf Silhouette Art, experiment with mixing colors and describe what happens when the colors mix. Here are some questions to ask your child while experimenting with colors:

  • What do you think will happen if you mix two colors together?
    • What happened?
    • What is the new color?
  • How much Red and Yellow do you need to make Orange?
  • How do you make different tones of Orange, Yellow, Red, Green, etc.?
  • How do you make Brown?
  • Can you make the same color twice?
  • What would happen if you mixed all the paint colors?”
